About Brixton BookJam

Come join us!

The Brixton BookJam is a FREE quarterly literary event that is unpredictable, eclectic, and aims to curate the very best in South London writing. From a-listers to talented unknowns, each BookJam brings a range of talent to our dedicated and passionate audience.

The next BookJam will be on 7th December 2015, at our regular venue the Hootananny.

We will be hearing from: Jenny Stallard, Eleanore Etienne, Jacqueline Crooks, Richard Skinner, Fraser McAlpine, Yolanda Zappaterra and Jan Fuscoe, Kevin MacNeil, Kit Fraser, Nikesh Shukla, Matthew Redford and Shazea Quraishi. The event will be compered by Doc Williams.

Find out more on the the Readers/Speakers page.

We were thrilled to be on Radio 4’s Open Book in August 2014 for their special edition on Literary London.

The Brixton Blog gave us a nice writeup of our 6th May event, which you can read here, and a BrixtonBuzz review is here.

There are a couple of reviews of previous events on the Brixton Blog and Brixtonia Blog.
